Before EMOR Blue

The locksmith & security headaches this ends.

01

Lockouts go to whoever answers

A car lockout in a grocery store lot at nine on a Friday goes to whichever tech picks up the phone, not the one four blocks away. The customer waits forty minutes for a five-minute job.

02

Rekey pricing changes by the tech

One tech charges a flat rate for the first cylinder and less for the rest, another counts every keyway the same. On a twelve-door office rekey that spread is real money, and the customer notices next time.

03

Nobody knows what the van carries

Mortise cylinders, deadbolts, panic bars, key blanks and door closers ride around until somebody needs one. The tech drives to the supply house mid-job, and the hardware that did get used never makes it onto the bill.

Built for locksmith & security

One system, the whole locksmith & security business.

Lockouts to the tech on shift

Every tech's shift and open jobs sit on one drag-and-drop board, so a lockout goes to a tech with a gap in front of them, not to whoever answered the phone. A live GPS map of the vans is on the roadmap.

Rekeys and hardware priced at the door

Price the rekey by the cylinder, the deadbolt and the door closer from your own book, and offer repair, new hardware or the whole opening as options. The customer signs on their phone, and anything over the tech's limit goes to the office first.

Cylinders and blanks off the van

Key blanks, mortise and rim cylinders, deadbolts, panic bars and closers are counted per van and per shop. Scan each one as it goes in the door, so the job shows what hardware it used and the reorder report catches the last SC1 blank.

Invoice before the van leaves

The tech closes the job from the phone with the customer's signature, and the invoice drafts itself. Text the link and, once the shop turns on card payments, the driver pays from it in the lot. Property managers on terms show up in A/R aging instead of a shoebox.

Locksmith & Security software FAQ

Questions, answered.

Can EMOR Blue dispatch a lockout to the nearest tech?

Not by GPS yet; a live map of the vans is on the roadmap. What the board shows today is every tech's shift and the jobs already on their day, so the dispatcher can pick the one who is working that side of town and drop the lockout on them. It reaches that tech's phone within seconds, before the dispatcher has finished taking the address.

Can my tech quote a commercial rekey on site?

Yes. Walk the building, tap each cylinder and keyway out of your own price book, and build the quote on the phone before you leave. Put up to three options on it: rekey the existing cylinders, swap in new ones, or replace the full opening with a closer and panic hardware. The office sets each tech's pricing limit, and a quote over that limit waits on approval.

Does it keep a service history for each commercial site?

Yes, on the customer record. Every visit, quote and invoice for that building is in one place, so when the property manager calls about the back door, the tech reads what was done there last spring before driving out. There is no separate file per door or per cylinder; what was rekeyed and what hardware went in are the line items on each job.

How do I bill an apartment complex that calls every week?

Every turnover rekey is its own job on that complex's record, and the invoice drafts itself the moment the job closes from the phone. The manager pays from the link once the shop turns on card payments, or the invoice sits on terms in A/R aging, so you can see what the complex owes across last month's units. The books underneath are real double-entry, with a P&L and a balance sheet.
