Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 8, 2026
EMOR Blue is currently offered as a beta service; this policy reflects our practices during the beta.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
EMOR ("EMOR," "we," "us") provides EMOR Blue, an operating system for field-service businesses — quoting, scheduling, dispatch, crew and vehicle tracking, parts, and invoicing (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.
We handle information in two distinct roles, and it matters which one applies to you:
- EMOR as controller. For the information we collect about our own users and prospects — the account you create, billing details, support requests, and marketing interactions — EMOR decides how and why the data is processed. This policy governs that data directly.
- EMOR as service provider / processor. The businesses that subscribe to EMOR Blue ("Tenants" — for example, an HVAC or plumbing company) use the Service to store records about their customers and employees: customer names and addresses, job records, photos, invoices, and similar operational data ("Tenant Data"). For Tenant Data, the Tenant is the controller and EMOR processes it only on the Tenant's instructions to operate the Service. If you are a customer or employee of a business that uses EMOR Blue, that business's own privacy practices govern your data, and requests about it should be directed to that business first. We will assist Tenants in responding.
2. Information we collect
Account data
When you create an account, our authentication provider, Clerk, collects your name, email address, and sign-in credentials on our behalf. We also store your role and workspace membership so the right people see the right parts of the Service.
Tenant Data
Tenants and their teams enter and upload operational records into the Service, which may include personal information about the Tenant's customers:
- Customer names, service addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses;
- Job details — descriptions of work, notes, quotes, schedules, and service history;
- Photos taken on job sites (which may incidentally capture people or property);
- Invoices and payment records.
Employee and workforce data
Tenants create accounts for their technicians and office staff, and the Service records work activity on the Tenant's behalf, including:
- Technician accounts and profile details;
- Timecards and check-in/check-out events (including NFC check-ins);
- GPS location of company vehicles, collected through telematics devices the Tenant connects to the Service (see Section 4).
Device and log data
Like most online services, we automatically collect technical information when you use EMOR Blue: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, timestamps, and error logs. We use this to keep the Service secure, diagnose problems, and understand aggregate usage. We do not use it for advertising.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide and operate the Service — scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, tracking, and everything in between;
- Set up and administer accounts and workspaces;
- Respond to support requests and communicate about the Service (including service announcements);
- Secure the Service — detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- Improve reliability and performance, using aggregated or de-identified information where practical;
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. Tenant Data is used only to provide the Service to the Tenant, never for our own marketing.
4. GPS and employee monitoring
EMOR Blue can display the real-time location of a Tenant's vehicles using telematics hardware the Tenant installs or enrolls (currently connected via flespi). This location data is collected from employer-enrolled vehicles, not from personal devices, and we process it solely on the Tenant's behalf so the Tenant can dispatch crews and manage its fleet.
Because the Tenant is the employer and the controller of this data, the Tenant is responsible for providing notice to its employees about vehicle location tracking and time tracking, and for obtaining any consents required by applicable state or local law before enabling these features. If you are an employee of a business using EMOR Blue and have questions about how your location or work hours are tracked, please contact your employer.
5. SMS and other communications (TCPA)
The Service can send text messages and emails to a Tenant's customers — appointment confirmations, quote links, invoices, and similar operational messages. These messages are sent at the Tenant's direction, and the Tenant is responsible for having the appropriate consent from its customers to receive them, as required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and similar laws.
We honor opt-outs: replying STOP to a text message sent through the Service stops further texts to that number from that Tenant. Message and data rates may apply, charged by your carrier.
6. Sharing and subprocessors
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers (subprocessors) that help us run EMOR Blue, under contracts that limit their use of the data to providing services to us:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Clerk | Authentication and account management |
| Vercel | Application hosting and delivery |
| Supabase | Database hosting |
| Cloudflare R2 | File and photo storage |
| flespi | Vehicle telematics (GPS device connectivity) |
| Stripe | Payment processing (upon launch of paid plans) |
| Map tile providers | Rendering maps in the dispatch and tracking views |
We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of EMOR, our Tenants, or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case this policy will continue to apply to the transferred data until updated with notice).
7. Data retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. Tenant Data is retained for as long as the Tenant's workspace is active; when a Tenant leaves the Service, we make Tenant Data available for export for 30 days after termination and then delete it from active systems, with residual copies removed from backups on our normal backup rotation. Log data is retained for a limited period for security and diagnostics.
8. Security
We protect information using measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including encryption in transit, access controls that limit data access to the workspace it belongs to, authentication through a dedicated identity provider, and hosting with providers that maintain industry-standard security programs. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but if we learn of a breach affecting your personal information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and similar laws in other states — you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Delete your personal information;
- Portability — receive a copy of your data in a usable format;
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CPRA.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@emorblue.com. We will verify your identity and respond within the time required by applicable law. If your request concerns Tenant Data (for example, you are a customer of a contractor that uses EMOR Blue), we will refer the request to the relevant Tenant and assist them in fulfilling it.
10. Cookies
EMOR Blue uses only strictly necessary cookies: the authentication and session cookies set by Clerk that keep you signed in and keep your session secure. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or cross-site tracking technologies today. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide any legally required notice or consent mechanism first.
11. Children
EMOR Blue is a business tool and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at privacy@emorblue.com and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — especially as the beta evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify account holders by email or an in-product notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means the updated policy applies.
